Malai Kofta recipe


I got this malai kofta recipe from one of my friend. It is one of my favourite paneer food recipe.Malai kofta is a special and delicious recipe for any occasion. Aloo and paneer koftas are dipped in a creamy sauce of onions and tomato base gravy.There are various methods to make malai kofta. Learn how to make malai kofta by following my malai kofta recipe.


Ingredients used for malai kofta:

For koftas-

Paneer-200 gm.
potatoes-2 boiled
Suji-6 spoon
Maida-3 spoon
Green chilly chopped-2

For gravy-

Cumin seeds
Onions-4 diced
Tomatoes-4 (puree)
Garam masala-1 tsp.
Salt
Red chilly powder
Ginger-1 inch
Garlic-8 to10
Oil- for frying
Cream- ½ cup
Milk- ½ cup


Malai kofta recipe:


  • Grate potato and paneer in a bowl.
  • Add green chilies, suji, maida and salt to it.
  • Prepare dough of it by kneading it well.
  • Make small balls of this dough.
  • Fry these balls in oil at medium flame till goldem brown.
  • Koftas are ready now. It’s the time for gravy now.
  • In a pan add 1 tbsp. oil add onions diced, ginger and garlic. 
  • Sauté these onions till golden brown on a medium flame.
  • When done allow it to cool and after that grind it in a mixer.
  • In a separate pan add 1 tbsp. oil. Heat it.
  • Add cumin seeds to it.  
  • Now add onion paste to it. And fry it till the oil comes up.
  • When oil comes up add tomato puree to it. Again cook for 2 minute.
  • Now add cream to this gravy and stir continuously.
  • Also add milk after 2 to 3 minute.
  • Add the species now. Salt, red chilly powder and garam masala to it according to your taste.
  • Also add half glass of water to this gravy and allow it to boil.
  • When gravy boils add koftas and simmer the gas for 5 minute.
  • Lastly add fresh coriander leaves chopped to it and serve it hot.
