Idli is an healthy indian breakfast.It is a round fluffy cake which is served in pairs with sambar or coconut chutney.
Ingredients:
Rice-2 cupUrad dal white-1 cup
Salt-1½ tbsp.
Baking soda-pinch
Oil
Method:
• Wash and soak dal overnight.• Wash and drain rice whole night.
• Grind dal and rice separately.
• Mix rice and dal together to form the batter.
• Mix salt, baking soda and set aside for 8-9 hrs. for fermenting.
• Pour the mixture in idli stand.
• Then steam idlis for 15 minute.
Serve idlis with sambar and coconut chutney.
